DALLIS is a very flexible I/O system which provides a broad range of plug-in cards. The mounting frame is connected via a central master card (available with RAVENNA/AES67, MADI or ATM interfaces) which initiates a multi-channel fibre optics connection to a requested end interface. The hardware's internal structure provides a significant safety benefit. All connections from I/O cards to the central master card are designed as point-to-point connections. Together with the hot-plug capacity of all components it is therefore guaranteed that a faulty I/O card cannot deactivate your entire mounting frame. It is also possible to provide the master card in a redundant design which is ideally supported by the double star architecture of the backplane. As the power supply units can also be provided in a redundant design, full redundancy of all vital components can be achieved.
