The Lawo V__view 1 converts IP-based MJPEG streams with low latency into HDMI signals. The slim and compact hardware unit can be mounted on the rear of standard computer monitors, enabling them to provide cost-efficient monitoring for CA-TV applications with an end-to-end delay of fewer than three frames (e.g. at commentary positions or backstage). As signals are streamed via IP, COTS switches or an existing IP infrastructure can be used to distribute both video and audio signals.
V__view 1 is an ideal addition to installations using Lawo’s V__link 4 and V__remote 4 Video-to-IP interfaces, providing a very flexible monitoring solution in addition to production-quality streams. Users can conveniently select between several available streams via an optional USB-remote control panel. V__view 1 is also available as V__view_app – a JAVA (TM) -based software-only solution compatible with any computer using a JavaTm Runtime environment such as windows, mac OS X or Linux. The V__view_app enables standard PCs to receive and show low-latency mJPEG streams from Lawo V__line devices, just like the V__view 1 hardware solution.
