INFOCOMM, LAS VEGAS, NV, June 13, 2012 — Lowell Manufacturing Company (booth C9723), a U.S. manufacturer of professional A/V Products, is proud to mark its 65th anniversary year with a strong showing at InfoComm 2012, with several new solutions for contractors and system integrators on display throughout the show.
Front and center is the new FDC line of 19-inch rackmount fan panels, offering universal input voltage (100VAC–240VAC) and including a UL Listed power supply with three plug adaptors to accommodate outlet requirements in North America, central Europe and the U.K. Panels are available in 2RU or 3RU with different size fans. An optional vari-speed thermostat probe automatically activates fans when ambient temperature hits a (variable) set point, gradually increasing or decreasing fan speed as it adjusts to changes in temperature.
An integral thermostat is also being introduced as an option for Lowell’s whisper-quiet (FW Series) and turbo (FT) fan panels. This thermostat is actually built into a green-colored cord, and activates fans when ambient temperature reaches the set point (86°F/30°C). The green colored cord highlights the energy-savings benefit to customers.
Lowell is also displaying an upgraded LH Series paging horn with improved frequency response and new IP66 rating for water- and dust-resistance when used in conjunction with the optional adaptor. Available in a 15W or 30W model, the LH horn has a new beige finish to blend with educational, commercial and industrial environments. The LH is designed for clear voice paging and tone signaling in a variety of indoor and outdoor applications.
Additionally, the company is introducing its new LBR Series of cost-effective, 19-inch EIA, fixed-rail floor racks, which offer flexible installation options for A/V, security, data and similar installations. Designed specifically for integrators who need a quality alternative for clients on a limited budget, the all-welded LBR, made with certified U.S. steel, supports loads up to 800 pounds on Lowell’s robust structural foundation. The rack features solid sides with upgraded ventilation capabilities plus a reversible, vented rear door. Lowell’s new LBR will be available in depths of 22- or 27-inches, and in heights from 21 to 44 rack units (RU).
